Wendy Ann Coffin, age 71 years old passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Autumn Care in Drexel, NC following a period of declining health.
Wendy was born on April 7, 1952 in Jamestown NY to the late George D. Coffin Jr. and Edna R. Coffin. Wendy was the youngest of her siblings and was always the life of the party. Wendy graduated from Morganton High School in 1970 where she was very active in various clubs. She began her career in the furniture industry as a Graphic Designer with Drexel Heritage Furnishings following in her father’s footsteps. She spent most of her career in the furniture industry as a Regional Sales Representative. Being a Sales Representative took Wendy to various states on the east coast where she made lots of memories and even more friends. Wendy was a loyal Michigan fan and rarely missed a televised game.
Those left to cherish a lifetime of memories include her brothers, David Coffin (Margaret) of Drexel, NC, Gary Coffin (Dereama) of Morganton, NC. Nieces, Kirsten Marett (Jeff) of Belmont, NC, and Kelsey Webb (Tim) of Valdese, NC. Nephew, Justin Coffin (Sara) of Sanford NC. Great nieces and nephews, Hunter Marett, Madison Marett, Cooper Webb, Livingston Coffin and Austin Coffin, her fur babies Mia and Dickens who were her entire world. Wendy is also survived by extended family members of Jamestown NY with whom she kept in close contact with over the years.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Coffin
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Grace Team Care Givers and Autumn Care of Drexel for their impeccable care of Wendy as well as to the family over the last few days.
The family will receive friends at Sossoman Funeral Home & Crematory Center in Morganton NC on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 2:00 – 3:30pm.
