Armond Darcy Bernard, 60, of Clayton, NC, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Born in Florida on February 17, 1963, he is the son of Jeffrey Christian Bernard and Sally Boliva Bayot Bernard.
Mr. Bernard was a veteran of the US Marine Corps which was reflected in his authenticity and integrity. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He was the epitome of a good man who was wise beyond his years and always willing to lend support. His children were his life, and his greatest honor was to be called dad. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bernard is survived by his sons, Adam and Alex Bernard; their mother Dollynn Bernard; brother, Bryan Bernard (Mary); sisters, Donna Wojcik (Paul) and Nicole Bernard-Vitha; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

I’m saddened to learn of the passing of Armond. His boys were close friends with my late son. If I can do anything to help either of them, please reach out. My heart and prayers are with Alex and Adam and all of Armond’s loved ones during this difficult time.
We all wonder, if we leave this world, what have we done to make it a better place? Darcy, you have done that in the short time you have been on this earth. You have two sons who will carry on all the strong attributes you have demonstrated to them over the years. They too, will make a lasting mark on this world and impact many peoples’s lives. I know you are very proud of them. I will miss our talks, your wisdom, and seeing how you worked through a problem. I have many great memories of you that will help me through this difficult time. I will miss that contagious laugh and your willingness to always help when someone was in need. I know you are in a better place now, and I hope you see that we are all in a better place because of what you have given to us over the years. I love you very much and I am a better person because of you.
I am so sorry to hear this. Sending my deepest condolences to you all.
Will miss you deeply. Memory Eternal

Sometimes a wonderful person comes into your life in unexpected ways. That person was Armond for our daughter Becky and our family. He brought laughter, insight, and a friendliness that fit right in. We are so very saddened he left all of us so soon. Richard and Marilyn McPeters Parents of Becky Hannert
