Armond Darcy Bernard, 60, of Clayton, NC, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Born in Florida on February 17, 1963, he is the son of Jeffrey Christian Bernard and Sally Boliva Bayot Bernard.

Mr. Bernard was a veteran of the US Marine Corps which was reflected in his authenticity and integrity. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He was the epitome of a good man who was wise beyond his years and always willing to lend support. His children were his life, and his greatest honor was to be called dad. Armond had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. No words can express how much he will be missed by his family and friends, but he will remain in our hearts forever.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bernard is survived by his sons, Adam and Alex Bernard; their mother Dollynn Bernard; brother, Bryan Bernard (Mary); sisters, Donna Wojcik (Paul) and Nicole Bernard-Vitha; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of life service will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Hilton Raleigh North Hills, 3415 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.

My deepest sympathies. What a wonderful man. How much he cared and looked out for others - especially his family, was inspiring. He was so proud of his boys and excited to see what they would become in this world. I mourn for him that he won’t get to see how awesome they will be. He spoke about his parents and brother and sisters constantly. He wanted to be a rock for them all. His parents should be proud of the amazing man they helped create. I never imagined he would be taken so soon. A large hole is left by his absence. I will miss him dearly.
