Danny Newton Crump, Jr., 49, of Morganton, NC passed away, Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Born on November 7, 1974, he was the son of Danny and Delores Crump. Danny was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church. Dannys son, Dustin, assisted as his crew chief and his father, Danny, Sr., built the engines. Danny would help anyone he could. In addition to his parents, Danny is survived by his son, Dustin Crump (Unique); sister, Dana Jackson (Henry); brother, Leon Crump; cousin, Johnny Duckworth (Amy), who helped take care of Danny; a number of extended family; and a special lady, Stephinie Lewis.

The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3:30 pm, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A graveside will follow at Burke Memorial Park with Pastor Bud Jernigan officiating.
