My Condolences to the family. Scott was a classmate of mine 1986. He always spoke to me when I would see him out. He was so resourceful when the 86 class planned reunions. A lot of times things happen that we can't understand. Just know God called him & perhaps he is helping to plan reunions & be a resource for our eternal life. God Bless the Banner family. I'm still shocked and saddened by this news. It wasn't too long ago that I saw you. I'm so sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. :'( Thank you for being such a wonderful human being. Thank you for your kindness and inspiration! I was always so impressed when you would tell me of all the races you had done and the ones you were signed up for. And I was always so happy for you when I saw your posts about traveling. Thank you for being one of my regulars when I had workout classes at Morganton club fitness. I could always count on you to be there and do your very best, and I appreciated that *so much!* Please know that you have been a great inspiration to me, making me believe that I can do anything as long as I put my mind to it. That the only thing that holds me back is myself. Thank you Scott. I will miss you! Until we meet again! ♡

My smiling talkative neighbor that greeted me most days from his porch where he sat and talked to friends on his phone. Scott called me "Jan" since he was a young boy and I will surely miss him being there. He was such a kind gentle soul that liked to talked about when his Mom was home and going to Mt Airy. I know you are smiling now with your Mom. Rest Easy my Friend

I have known Scott for many years, I have ate with him many times at exit 100 restaurant. This is very sad for everybody. I'm going to miss that man. He was a quiet and laid back and a very kind, helpful brother in the Lord. I'm going to miss him ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Walmart at Christmas time. Wow I can't believe my friend is gone and don't even know what happened to him. I can't get no information. If anybody would happen to be reading this could u tell me did he get sick in the last two weeks or month because I always thought he was in good health. Thank you
