Committal
Vivian Michelle Hughes-D’Alessandro, 16, of Morganton, NC, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
Born in Lake City, FL on March 10, 2008, she was the daughter of Christina and Nick D’Alessandro. Vivian was a junior at Freedom High School, where she sang in the choir. She loved blue butterflies, and her favorite color was brown. Vivian was a light in everyone’s life, and she made everyone feel special and loved.
In addition to her parents, Vivian is survived by her brother, Benjamin Michael D’Alessandro; sister, Nicole Marie D’Alessandro; maternal grandmother, Joanne Baker; paternal grandparents, Lori D’Alessandro and Edward D’Alessandro; aunt, Barbara Rose Lopez (Reginald); and cousins, Allyson, Adam, and Audrey Lopez.
A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held at noon, Saturday, September 21, 2024 at El Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Cunningham officiating. All who loved Vivian are asked to gather in the fellowship hall following the service.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Precious Vivian, You were definitely a bright light to everyone you touched.. I am so saddened by the news of your passing. Brianna has been having a hard time with it. She was sure trying to come and see you one last time, tell you see you later but I don’t know that we can make it happen. No matter what know how much she cherished your friendship and loved you. Michelle and my son Kamon dated for a little while and she was always just perky and friendly with us. She went out of her way to make his little brother feel special and would take time to play with him. I am so sorry for this tragic loss. Misty Bryant
